Smart cockpit combines situational services - SMINNO creates a completely new combination of innovative products with its new partner hepster
Digital services as part of a holistic customer experience
The innovative mobility startup SMINNO and the Rostock-based InsurTech hepster start their cooperation punctually at the beginning of the bicycle season. With new solutions, they want to combine the best possible experience in the area of insurance and smart two-wheeler mobility. Through the partnership, SMINNO is expanding its product portfolio to include hepster’s (e-)bike insurance, which can be accessed and booked directly via the cockpit app.
The cockpit system from SMINNO is a holistic, patented IoT system for two-wheelers that includes both hardware and software. Among other things, it offers a dashboard with which services, information and services can be used. SMINNO thus offers its customers the smooth use of a hands-free system, intuitive operation via voice control and universal adaptation to the smartphone. The cooperation with hepster enables SMINNO customers to easily secure the two-wheeler with the flexible insurance cover from hepster in just a few steps via the cockpit. If damage has occurred - or the bike has even been stolen - hepster is there as an insurance expert with its complete protection as a reliable partner for the customer.

All customers who purchase the SMINNO cockpit system also receive the hepster protection letter for their (e-)bike for 12 months free of charge. The hepster protection letter includes Europe-wide 24-hour emergency assistance for bicycles and e-bikes, including breakdown, accident and theft assistance, a salvage and pick-up service, assistance for onward or return journeys including a spare wheel, accommodation costs after a breakdown and return transport of the bicycle or e-bike. Together with hepster, SMINNO creates the combination of innovative services with its original cockpit, so that the user can pedal smartly and safely.
New service offer from SMINNO is scheduled to go online in mid-Q2 2022
SMINNO has already taken on a number of partners for the service area of its platform and now, with hepster, fully covers the area of protection for both bikes and drivers. The new service extensions will be available for end customers and users of the SMINNO Cockpit from the middle of the second quarter of 2022. The special feature: In the Cockpit app, customers have everything to do with their two-wheeler mobility immediately at hand and can use the desired functions for the ride as well as secure their (e-)bike with digital offers in the best possible way.
